Yesterday we went to a neurologist, we got information that says the stroke was in a “bad” place and since her brain is atrophied from age she will have a difficult time.  Check back in 6 months. We are doing all the right things; the best thing for her is to get involved.

·       How do we know what she understands?                                                                    We don’t

·       Her short term memory is worse.                                                                                   Yes, it is

·       How do we know dementia from stroke effects?                                                       Hard to say

·       What can we do to maximize memory recall? What apps/flash cards, etc.          Get her mentally involved
